I thought I really wanted to be a chemical engineer but the reality of the day to day has been disappointing to say the least… is this a common sentiment for a first job? Do I just have to keep going to get somewhere interesting?

I have heard that most legacy systems specifically mainframes are being replaced and new technologies taking over for similar purpose.
How about employee like us who just started in this mainframe tech . Where will we end up if you stay in this.
Many of onsite leads tells that move of it as they are migrating larger part of it to new platforms but BU heads says it is going to stay for a long long time don't get panicked.

I’m a new grad hire (7 months) in the OCM consulting space. I’m passionate about change management and communication strategy. I've been reading, googling, and perusing anything I can get my hands on about OCM, including old OCM deliverables and our current methodology. My People Manager told me that OCM is a journey when it comes to understanding it and that a lot of that knowledge is gained through just experience. How do you handle remote teams being in different time zones? Right now we have a ton of team leaders on the west coast with the core team on the east coast and because of that urgent requests keep coming down after hours with the expectation to address it immediately. So at this point we’re working from 8am until like 11pm and nobody knows what to do to push back on it

Just walked out of FAR test, literally cried after submitting it. SIMS were something I got ripped off by, can say clearly 4 out of 8 sims I kind of missed completely...😭😭😭 don’t know if I can ever get over this

So Becker was supposed to charge me $600 to update for unlimited access since my account was due to expire in March. I called them in December to make payment. Now 8months later...they reach out to me saying they only charged $35. I just checked my bank statement and they are right but i don't have $600 sitting around...What do i do? Thoughts?
