Don’t think the intensity of consulting life is for me. what’s a good, enjoyable industry exit that is 40 hours or less and decent salary? I’m still 2.5 yrs out of undergrad so options are flexible

Looking to exit from 195k base to a sales role base 140 + 40 in guaranteed bonus year 1 to make up for the lengthy sales cycle. I know in the long run total comp through equity and sales commission bonus can be much higher but having a hard time making the jump… mostly my ego to drop drastically in TCO the first year after spending all these years trying to increase base. I’m considering a less sales-oriented role that doesn’t pay commission. The new role will have a higher base but lower overall earning potential.

What % haircut should be expected? As an example, if I make 100k (base + commission) today, would it be realistic to ask for 90k (10% cut) + equity to make up the difference?

I have 14th march as a start date and I don’t know my background verification status.

After graduating I am in home since 5 months , and today got a offer with 1.5 year bond 2.4 LPA package and java developer role in small bootstrap company of only 15 employees, not even giving laptop.
