I’m about to start an internship at IBM for UX Research. I’m super excited about it, and was wondering if anyone could tell me about the design culture there or how the company is for designers? So far online I’ve only heard about the company from consultants or software engineers. For more reference I’ll be working in Austin.

McKinsey & Company I am joining the McKinsey & Company Boston office in late July and searching for housing in the meantime. If I could get some insight on the ratio of days in the office vs work from home that would be super helpful!
If I need to come into the office regularly I will try to find a place close by.
What is up?

DM me for referral in HCL

Hi all, recently I had an interview at ICF. Would it be a wise decision to move to ICF from Deloitte?
My main motivation behind this move is to move out of tech consulting & get into strategy/management consulting roles.
Would be great if someone working at ICF could help me with few clarifying questions.
Thanks!

Go for capco HCL wlb is not that much good.
Capco
No onsite. And little stability while you are not on project. Iimited clinets. Indian management is not helping
I'm biased but at Capco the WLB, community, and people have all been very good for me. That being said, what you put in is what you get. If you don't make the effort to make things good they won't be. If you do make the effort, they will be.
Can you suggest how is WLB in Capco, I am going to join there in a couple of days as M2 in financial domain
Less YOY hike and no wlb in HCL
How abt onsite offers at HCL?
how much they are offering?
How about job security and do they have enough projects in Payments space.?
As a person who worked in HCL and currently in Capco, I can give my honest opinion.
1. For onsite opportunities in HCL tough to get due to the huge number of employees when compared to Capco head counts. However in both places if you are on the right project you will get onsite.
2. Job security in HCL is far better and will have many projects to move around whereas in Capco number of projects are limited. Also if land up on bench for a longer period without a project chances of lay off is higher which is very common in most consulting firms.
3. Promotions in Capco is based on 3 major criteria
a) Performance
b) Contributions with an impact
c) Networking with higher management/partners
Where as in HCL it is mostly directly based on your performance and to some extent on how good terms you are with your PM
3. Salary hike is way better in Capco so does the risk of lay off
4. WLB is somewhat good in both places again depends on the project you are on. But social life in Capco is way better than HCL.
So now you need to decide what is your priority WLB, Sal Hike & Promotion or Onsite…
