Hi Fishes, I have received an offer from Barclays for AVP position. But the role discussed during interview was for Tech Delivery Manager whereas the offer letter mentions it as Tech Delivery Lead. Can you guys please suggest if it is the same role or should I request recruiter to get the role updated? I faced the same.. but did not highlight the things.. I have ijp in my mind. I have a feeling that usually no one does anything and the blame comes at your end too. You need to choose your way. Ultimately it's ecosystem and difficult to predict.

Barclays culture is really good, everyone I came across in my team or even at the floor is very kind and helpful. It is one of the best companies to stay for a long time. It should be one or two people downgrading the image of the whole organisation.
You should have a skip level meeting and speak everything in your mind upfront.
I have heard many bad reviews here about Barclays work culture where managers are exploiting employees

I have been with Barclays for 4 years under 4 managers .
But haven’t encountered anything such , I would say it’s not the organisation but the people which are to be pinpointed.
I would say organisation policies are very supportive, please have skip level talks.
Try for some other team through ijp.
It’s all about few individual person , which will be present in every organisation.

Have a skip level meeting with your senior manager.
As soon as you complete 1 year, try changing your team asap via IJB if it still doesn't get resolved.
Try to keep all conversations documented over email, as much as possible. Any overload /over burden, highlight it over as email as well.
These things might matter at a later stage. All the best, you will surely get out of this mess
I think at this point IJP is my only way out from this but i doubt i can bear another 8 months till then.. i ll wait it out ..thanks for the suggestion
