Hi moms! I’m a week shy of starting my new job, which is 100% remote. I’ll be agency side on the strategy team. As some background, I was laid off back in March and have been home with my babies for 6 months. They are 2.5 and 11 months. Looking for any and all advice for working from home in general, as a mom, and reentering the workforce. TIA!

The more you can create structure to carve time out of your day for yourself and your children, the better. Whether it's blocking off 12pm-1 every day to eat lunch with your kids or spend that time working out; or turning the computer off at 5:30pm to be present for their dinner, and letting colleagues know you'll be back online a little later. It's okay to set boundaries. Best of luck in your new role!

Congrats on the new role! That’s so exciting, and definitely a feat in these crazy times!
Do you have help watching the littles at home while you work? That’s the only thing saving me with my one year old so that I get pockets of time for meetings and heads down work.

Thank you so much! I do! And I have the option of driving them to their grandparents in the mornings. So thankful for that.

Hi Fishes,
I have overall experience of 5yrs. Out of which 3years for US healthcare and 2 years for US mortgage. US mortgage domain has now become thinner as industry almost sunk since most of the companies has laid off employees, I was also the victim. Fortunately, got an opportunity to work Optum but heard rumours about the lay-off in our entire process which is creating a frustration and negativity all around. Please refer me if there's any relevant opening in backhend operations. Thanks!

Hi everyone, share your blindsided layoff stories below so I can feel a little bit better about mine.

Covered a managers meeting for her yesterday, was with some senior members of the marketing team. A director opens the call with “we are so sorry about the impacts the layoffs have had on your teams today…” then noticed I was in the call and said “we are still notifying others so best to keep it under the radar” …25% of my team was let go three hours later with no warning😬

I’m feeling really hopeless & trapped recently.

Hello everyone,

I am starting my job search again. I am being set up and gas lighted at the current company I work in. It is very discouraging I ask for help and people refuse to help me & give me the run around. I am early in my marketing career and I work in media planning/buying. I work remotely and would like to stay remote for another year if possible.

I have five months in the company. I want to stay in the similar role but I also want to know if you all have other role recommendations

Hello fellow PM's! I'am currently applying for new remote jobs and a few of the hiring processes include an interview with CTOs. What should I expect from that?

For context, it's not a technical PM jobs and the job description states that they are ok with Business Grads. I can do some python and SQL but mostly for data Analytics (Pandas and Numpy libraries for instance). I can also deal with HTML and CSS for website development but I would say I am a noob at this point.

Thanks a lot!

I've been given a lot of responsibilities, which is great. But I don't feel like any of them are being prioritized or delegated appropriately. I'm getting a lot of pressure from my manager, who is quite demanding and doesn't seem to understand that I need time to get things done and learn new skills.
