Continue to just focus on you and the needs of your class.
I was an instructional coach for the past 3 years. I won’t lie. It’s rough. My efforts to be positive in the face of negative attitudes really paid off. Several came to me to ask how I did something. One was so rude constantly I just wrote her off and had as little contact as possible
I really struggle with this as well. I agree with both of the other replies in this thread. I try to focus exclusively on my classroom, and try to offset their negativity with as much positivity as I can muster 😁
It’s tough but I agree to focus on positively. Maybe even speak with your admin about it. I’ve had to speak frankly about another colleague to my principal who didn’t seem to realize they were being that negative. It helps to have admin support especially when this negativity is in the class with children
Ignore and be a good role model myself
I think the hardest part with this is when others in your grade level are giving their all. You feel bad for the students in that one class that always miss out on the “extra” stuff because it takes effort and that one teacher will not give it.
