For the last 20 years, I’ve been in project/program manager roles. Most recently, I spent the last 12 years in a learning development role managing the development of sales and technology training. Also, facilitating and partnering with sales on the development of Hunter workshops and sales/Pre-sales new hire training. I’m looking to switch careers to being in sales as an account manager / sales development rep. Advice on how to get interviews in this new dream role?

I am expecting an offer from Master Card for Senior Software Engineer position in O Fallon MO. Please let me know what kind of base salary I can expect with 11 yrs experience . I don’t wanna undersell but also trying to avoid being aggressive but quote a decent number which will be achievable. Any suggestions will be appreciated. Is 125k $ base a fair value for or I can pitch higher? They have a 15 to 20 % bonus on top of base pay and a 10% match on 401k which the recruiter keep highlighting.

After how many years of experience a person gets promoted to a Managerial position ?

I am looking into the CCP (Certified Compensation Professional). It seems to be quite an expensive exam.

I've been in merchant sales for a large bank the last several years looking to do a pivot. Any suggestions for a sales position for someone who's done outside sales for years but not in the tech industry?

My co-worker was hired in at manager level but somehow “proved” he was actually doing director level work and got a title promotion and salary increase in less than a year. Anyone else having trouble finding free fraud based CPE trainings? My job does not pay for these things so I wasnt sure if anyone else had a solution or source.
