I have a current CTC of 6.6 and Mastercard is offering 8.9 (including variable ) . I also have an offer from infosys of 10 ( including variable). Which one should I pick considering work life balance and appraisal. My entire doubt is that will they bring me on market rate after appraisals as currently they are not offering very good hike.

Alright alright alright

As an ADC applying this summer for 2022 start, I haven’t gotten a chance to connect with any L.E.K. Consulting members and I really want to get to know the company better before moving on with my application. Any L.E.K. Consulting fish out there willing to spare a few minutes to chat about their work, the company, the culture etc? Thanks!

$3000/day is if people know your name (industry-famous). $2000/day is more realistic if you aren’t a household name. If you want a more accurate freelance day rate, take what you’d be earning as a fulltimer annually and divide by 125.
Your dilemma is you're being offered $15,000 per week and want more? Think I need to start winning some Grand Prix and go freelance.

You shouldn’t get out of bed for less than $10,000 a day. Tell those recruiters to show you the money!
CD 5, thank you for this phenomenally helpful answer. I really appreciate your insight. This is exactly what I was hoping for.
You need to find a balance between the max you can get and what keeps you constantly booked

Unless you’re freelancing as a CCO, ECD, or a CD leading a team, the most I have ever seen is $2100–$2600 (rarely), and that’s former CCO’s/some of the most famous people in the business.
If you can stomach working for a tech company, I would hit up Google, Apple, Twitter, etc. They seem to pay just about whatever top-level creatives ask for.
By all accounts it's a lovely experience, but if you ask me, in another 20 years we'll look at working for Facebook like we look at working for Big Tobacco.
Not having a go at OP by any means, who I congratulate and encourage to get that bread, but like... how on earth does anyone justify hiring a creative on $3000 a day? I know agencies/clients have this money and it *should* go to the people with ideas, but it just seems so high above the market rates people in this bowl have told me.
@CD3 — No, I misunderstood CD5 saying their boss hired “them at $2k a day.” Thought s/he meant $2k for the team, not individuals.
Why do you say you’re too dumb to be a CD? I’ve known a lot of CDs / GCDs / etc that are not very intelligent. They either got lucky or had nepotism etc. on their side. You’ve been awarded a lot more than me.
That’s a better, clearer, more honest answer. And valid.
I charged 1500 as a CD. But for the right op as low as $1200- but up to $1750
Awards (a decent haul) good rep.
Full time now. Recently talked to 15+ very senior lancers for a pitch.
Former CCOs charging 1600. Former GCDs charging 1200. Not living on the coasts, but still I was surprised. I asked 1250 five years ago in SF and I was only ACD.
As a product designer, my highest was 127/hr w2 with benefits....for 12 months
