Does Recruiters even look at job application applied through their company website career page? From past couple of years whenever I have applied on any company career site never received a response back although profile is fit for that role. Even for the same role was offered through a consultancy by one company. What do you think or is it just wasting time applying through company website?Cvent Accenture India Wipro Gartner LifeWorks Capgemini Tata Consultancy

^That's ridiculous. When I meet people on the agency side who have been in the same role for 3 years, I am shocked. Are they just comfortable? What are they even learning at that point? If you've been there for 2 years, I'd hope you are already looking for the next thing. Can be within the same company, but do something different to expand your skill set. Tons of valid reasons to move around in this industry. I'm more concerned with those that stay idle.
^ Maybe this is NYC but I think it is rare to find someone staying more than a couple of years unless they're VP or higher. And agree that I'd be nervous about a more junior person 3+ years into one place unless they varied their role.
Good excuses. References.
I should clarify - current organization for 2-3 years, not necessarily current role. But I echo Digital Director - job hoppers never get invested in anything other than themselves.
Depends on how long they were with us the first go round and how good you were. Less than 2 years before, probably not. We have a few people who were stars and with us for a few years, left (for however long) and came back with open arms. If you were a hopper with us...not so much.
I don't take interviews with people that are at a different agency each year. Makes me wonder why I should invest my time in training/developing you
I've totally stopped recruiting job hoppers. Unless there was harassment or illness. I don't trust job hoppers to produce good work for clients, they tend to do good work for themselves
How many moves in how many years?
Going to be brutally honest - as a hiring manager, I won't look at candidates who have not been in their current role for at least 2-3 years. I used to give one freebie, and those are the hires that have never worked out.
Additional consideration: a hopper who boomeranged back to a previous agency. Same hesitation or less?
I would go to an old boss/leader and tell them you want to go back and why to help navigate. Less hesitation but internal champion would be needed
I'll even add we will sometimes try and recruit people to come back if they were stars before.
