BBH did it for real. Real moms. Real birth. It’s pretty amazing — watch the film. To produce something like that and get real access is not easy.
Grub hub is just an ad.
And yah — 2 agencies can have the same idea at the same time. It happens often. No one owns an idea.
Rising Star
It comes down to a paternity test. It seems that GrubHub was there for the conception.
What the hell is she even eating in that Burger King ad? It looks like some AI glitched version of "food"...
So many consumers are paying this much attention to the ad
Grubhub wins because the first thing you think of after giving birth is your first meal after starving during labor (48 hours for me) and you can’t/shouldn’t (in American culture) eat sushi while pregnant. I actually ordered a sushi burrito via Ubereats. So the insight is spot on. Only a maniac would want Burger King as their first post birth meal. But yeah, the photography/framing is better even though that wrapper is weird af.
To me, they’re same idea, slightly different insight. Grubhub is the first post pregnancy meal you’re finally allowed to have (smarter) and bk is the first meal you’ve earned after giving birth for hours (emotional). But that’s just how I’m reading it!
The only thing that’s disgraceful is that as a “creative director” you can’t put together that a campaign which came out in July might have similar production timelines to one that came out in September.
Can confirm, I am indeed a silly goose.
The Burger King one looks better imo? Better art direction.
Looks to me like they shot the same model for both.
Maybe too cerebral but I think this would make more sense for Jimmy Johns or Jersey Mikes because women are advised not to eat sandwiches/ deli meat during pregnancy.
I’d advise against eating Burger King regardless of pregnancy.
My critique is that you work for Golin Chicago and should find better things to do with your time
Was there copy on grubhub one? The BK copy def elevates it between these two versions…
Nope. Just allergic to blatant thievery.

It is such a better story that as soon as my wife delivered she wanted sushi and I got out to find the best one I could find nearby and brought it back to her than "I ordered delivery"
That
Rising Star
Delivery for Delivery is better conceptually. Though I hear what you are saying, it doesn’t seem these ads have a father figure play into them at all.
Also, from personal experience, my wife would not be pleased with me if I left her and our newborn alone for a minute after all she went through.
Yikes
BBH used to be a great agency but these days it's home to some of the worst creatives in London.
And nyc
Is this real? And where, for what country?
Golin Chicago did GrubHub. BBH London did BK. Real in the sense that you’ll see them both on LinkedIn for agency PR? Yes. Real in the sense that they were done for an actual business purpose and you’ll see them plastered all over the world’s bus shelters? I think we both know the answer to that.
