So I have been seeing a guy for 4 months. We have a pay disparity.. he earns less than I do (by quite a bit). I’ve doing this for a good number of years. I think I depleted almost completely my interest in this business. When I’m out of the office or during the weekends I get into a “leave me alone state” and don’t want to know anything about the office. Was hired shortly after graduating in mid-May. Any other new hires willing to talk about their experiences joining a company/organization during the pandemic? Most of my friends were either hired for big companies last summer, or have decided to put off job hunting until the market is less messy.

Has anyone here renegotiated their salary after a short time being in a role? I accepted a position and I like what I do but I realize that the workload requires a lot to see success and I feel a bit burned out already with my 40 hours/week and occasional extra 30 minutes to an hour a day.

I am stuck between putting in my time and showing my value and asking for an increase to validate doing so to avoid job hopping after a year or so.
