McKinsey & Company Hey folks!
Was wondering what sort of life sciences projects does usually the Boston Consulting Group and McKinsey & Company take on?
Commercial, access and pricing, M&A, transformation, implementation? (all of them perhaps?)
Basically, what would someone with an LS background be mainly working on in these firms on a day-to-day basis?
Thanks!

Tbh I wouldnt throw those names out as direct competitors for FDD. I don’t think Alix even does TAS, so I’d lump them and FTI as more of restructuring competitors even though FTI seems to focus more on the creditor side.
I’d be curious if more experience A&Mers have sat across from FTI on an engagement but I haven’t seen it yet.
HL is just a dumpster fire according to posts on this bowl and their practice is in its infancy.

We have some HL and FTI but not very many. Pool of available people at B4 is so much larger, so part of it is just the raw numbers. People at HL and FTI probably did FDD at B4 before they went there to begin with, and most in that situation are unlikely to want to exit and do FDD at a third different firm.

Nearly every MD on the west coast is from FTI. But not many outside of them, but still might have a chance
Why not Kroll? 😂

A&M basically prides themselves on the fact that they only hire exclusively from B4. It also does not help that everyone at A&M is from B4 so they are probably biased towards their B4. Just look on linkedin.
