Not a recruiter but a tax partner in St. Louis. We have openings and would be interested to chat with you. We are largest firm in St. Louis by number of CPA’s and dominate the local middle market. DM me if interested.

Um, it doesn’t work that way?

likefunny

Completely different scenario, GT2. You met a recruiter at a campus event. That is their specific role - to recruit and find positions for new grads.

Experienced recruiting doesnt work that way, unless you meet the recruiter at a recruiting event (which are not common).

Giving out employee emails randomly to strangers is prohibited. Not just big 4 but any company. The right way is to find someone who could refer you to that recruiter directly and has better odds

Dude, find the job code and ask for referral. This is not the 90s.

like

Sometimes you have the job code and apply. But you want to go the extra mile to make sure you are noticed.

Dude just walk into a Deloitte office and ask to speak to HR. They’ll probably hire you on the spot!

So funny, I forgot to laugh!

DM for GT referral if interest lol 😂

I recently had an interview with the hiring manager and they did 95% of the talking. It was the weirdest interview I’ve ever had. I didn’t know whether to interrupt and get a question and some comments in or stay quiet and listen. I couldn’t even gauge how it went. Has this happened to you.?

Is it me or does the newer generation value more intangible things that aren’t easily measured like work-life balance, fulfillment and purpose in work. Which makes it difficult for firms because that’s not something that is easily measured. Also, this is why there is “value” in crypto, NFTs and the metaverse. It’s a clash of the generations that value tangible things like money, houses, cars and one that values time, experiences, personal online image. Thoughts?

Should I talk to PWC and ask for a raise?
