Hello ZSers,
I have been shortlisted for AC role and my HR discussion is scheduled next week.
1. Need some insights on the maximum and minimum ctc (fixed and variable) that can be offered for 3 yoe (all relevant) . My current ctc is 7.2 (6.5 fixed) . Tech stack - Big data and AWS developer.
2. Is there any joining bonus. If yes , what should be the ask.
Any inputs will be very helpful for me to go with my expectations to the HR. Thanks!

Someone I knew at EVERY job I've ever had. It definitely helps that I work hard and make people laugh.
I knew someone who knew a strategist and then I kept getting coffees with a chain of strategists and asking if they knew anyone I could meet until someone I met had an opening. Being connected helps, but knowing how to work one connection into many (being flexible, appreciative, sending personalized messages, offering value back, hustling) is worth much more
Was living in one city my entire life and was ready for a change. Wanted to move to Chicago. I found a random 3rd connection on LinkedIn, sent them a hi-I-swear-I'm-not-a-creeper message that said I was in the same field with same title. Asked if they knew any recruiters in Chicago. They said yes. I got my book pushed through because they thought I was legit. Then I got the interview. Moved. Now I'm in Chicago. It was the most real networking-for-a-job experience I have ever had in my life.

I applied on LinkedIn and got called in
Applied through LinkedIn and didn't know anyone at iProspect. One phone interview and one in person interview later and they gave me a verbal offer by the end of the day. First (small) agency job after college I got through Craigslist and 3 in person interviews. Didn't know anyone there either.
Referral. A third party recruiter reached out to me for the same position via LinkedIn, but luckily my friend got to me first, so my friend got the referral bonus. I also ended up being the only person they interviewed for that position, since referrals are preferred.
I answered an ad in Adweek for my first job. After that, friends recommended me at other agencies. Knowing people gets you in the door, but your book is what keeps them from kicking you out.
Friend referral to the recruiter. Friend wasnt even in the advertising industry either. He just happened to be friends with the recruiter. YAS.
It's tru tho. I'm not that old even
