I have a possible opportunity at Protiviti. Coming from big4 and wondering if Protiviti has fairly similar perks. I’ve read the 2022 benefits guide and it gave a oddly low PTO count of 16 days. Is this true and what about a holiday disconnect in the December time period? Are there any other hidden perks that are awesome? Already heard WLB is better and the culture, but I feel like I’ve gotta find that out first hand. Protiviti

It’s however you want it because it is just a formality. You can give 13 or 15 days notice as well.
But, to answer the question - I would generally count the day I gave notice. So if I give notice on Wednesday, I’m not working the Wednesday two weeks away, my last day is the Tuesday before that.
But if I give notice on a Friday, I’m planning to work the Friday two weeks away - essentially the same span of time as if I gave notice the following Monday.
Holidays would not effect my counting - two weeks of calendar time.
Yes to all of this. I planned to give notice on a Friday, so my last day would’ve the Friday two weeks from that day. But I didn’t get the formal offer from new job until Monday morning, so I gave notice on Monday morning and my last day was still that same Friday (two weeks away). Basically, worked two full work weeks. If there were a holiday in the middle it wouldn’t have affected my last day.
Agreed it's calendar days. I would either do it on a Monday and work that full week plus the following (last day Friday) or give notice on a Friday working the full two weeks. It's weird to be done midweek in my opinion. Much more fun to leave on a Friday.
Calendar days beginning the day you submit the notice. Put in a “final day” in the doc itself to make it super clear

2 weeks is just a guideline. I’d plan for your last day to be a Friday, tends to be easier for all involved, but also no reason you can’t do Monday or Tuesday or any random day.
At my old job, I gave notice on a Monday. I wanted my last day to be the following Friday (two full workweeks). The two partners at my old job insisted that I stay at least until the Monday because both of them were going to be on vacation the following week (just so happened to be the first time that ever happened while I was there) and in any event, they didn’t consider the following Friday to be two weeks. I accommodated them just for the sake of not burning bridges but one of the partners still treated me poorly on the way out. It is what it is. At the end of the day, I was able to hold my head up high and be happy with what I was able to accomplish there and my decision to move on.
Depends what the contract says (lol)
