Hi all. I am trying to determine if I am being compensated fairly. I am a tax manager (about to start my second year as manager) and have been with EY since staff 1. I was promoted to manager in June 2020 (during covid) and received a 7.5% raise. The class above me has mentioned they received much higher raises during their promotion years. My base salary is now approx. 97K. Any insights would be extremely helpful. Thanks!
Hi, I am being offered 27L + 2L Variable for Manager (M1) at KPMG India. Will I also be eligible for year end performance bonus? Or is variable pay the only amount that I’d be eligible for?
Am I being lowballed by the HR in terms of offer ? Approx 8yoe currently at 21LPA (recently promoted) KPMG KPMG India

Caffeine and chunking my workday throughout the actual day. Sometimes that means getting a lot done from 6-10pm and not much done during the day.
Spend at least an hour every day calling every in-network pharmacy within whatever distance you can reasonably go (depends on if you have a car etc.) and ask them if they could fill your scrip. Be annoying, call every day and call a lot of different locations. Ask each pharmacist if the can check their computer systems and see which pharmacies nearby may have stock of your meds, and be ready for some pharmacies to refuse to share that information. Try anyway.
Once you find a pharmacy, call your doctor and have them redirect the prescription to the new pharmacy. Make sure your message is marked as high priority and make sure you mention that lack of meds is causing you problems at work. Be specific about that, because issues at work will often get a better response than just “gimme it.” Like the pharmacy, call your doctor daily until they switch the prescription over, but note that you’ll need to re-confirm medication stock with the pharmacy FIRST, EVERY time.
Thank you! Having to get it filled in my old state and have a friend mail it until I can get set up with a new doctor here, which makes it even more fun, but I really appreciate the tactical advice. It all still applies.
Oh that’s rough. I weaned myself off meds and developed techniques to structure my day. My peak work time is around 10-2 pm then again in the evening. In addition to using flow club (see prior posts) I schedule time to plan my day - or half day - with top three things max. I chunk down tasks as much as possible. For example today I had to review sign and send a doc. So my checklist is like - open document, review section a, review b, research c, add signature lines, pdf it, email to partner.
It seems excessive but just “review doc” can lead me to procrastinate because the task is vague and takes more than a few minutes to complete.
I also spend time in the morning visualizing outcomes. It really helps me to plan a task in my mind before I dive in. I also think of tasks in terms of who I’m helping - not just what I’m doing. I work really hard for other people, not so much just for myself.
Great advice. Thank you!
I asked my doctor to give me an alterate prescription for adhd. I take focalin and she switched me to adderal xr for a limited period of time. I do not love adderall but it was only a low dose so was able to manage.
The doctor can also see which pharmacies have availability before filling them in, which is what she did for me.
Ugh I wish my doctor would do that. His office is like “nope, you need to figure that out for yourself”
