How hard is it to pivot into sales after mainly having audit background?

Not hard at all if you can sell well

Dido above, it’s all personality. Sales is risky depending on commission to salary mix, so understand what you are getting into.

My suggestion as I had a father that went from public accounting (PWC) to sales is that business to business selling is a much better gig. I would suggest property casualty insurance looking forward to the most lucrative selling jobs, though can be hard to get into at first.

I've seen several auditors/accountants go into real estate sales and do very well. I think, especially with big purchases, the buyer trusts your financial acumen and it helps with the mental side of the buying process.

Hi all, looking for advice.

I'm a technical writer with background in the hardware and healthcare industry. What would be a better option for me, pivoting into software tech writing or project management.

Which one pays better/is better (any advice appreciated, must be fully remote role)

If software tech writing, does anyone have advice on how to break into a role or learn what it takes to become one?

For PM, I got a cert (not PMP) and am trying to decide which of these two I go with.

What’s going on FB friends,

I am contemplating a move to industry working at a VC, Tax Director role east coast. Looks like it will be primarily overseeing compliance with some aspect of advising on structures etc. There is another tax reporting head above me.

The potential comp is the low 200k with a 10% bonus (still higher than what I am making). I feel this is pretty low for VC standards but maybe my standards are also too high. I have generally seen 25% bonus with carry.

Any thoughts?
