Im currently going through industry change.
Im a pastry cook with 4yrs experience and the average salary start for this position is now at $22/hr here in vegas, especially in the strip. But cooking/baking is not my passion. So im changing into veterinary medicine and im seeing that the starting rate for a vet tech is around $16-18. Why is that?? Why are people in the vet med industry being paid so low?? Something needs to change. Labor of love aint enough for the people in this job.

Had a scratchy throat yesterday that has since gone, low grade fever all day today (99-99.9). Have felt off and spacey today, and had a headache which went away after taking Advil. I finally was able to convince my principal that we need a consistent math intervention at the MS level (grades 5-8). (Right now, we are just "doing our own thing," which isn't helping students progress much.) Does anyone have any suggestions? It would be beneficial to have some sort of progress monitoring tool as part of the program, if possible. Our classes run roughly 55 minutes (which is too long for an intervention, in my humble opinion).
