How long do people tend to wait before getting an outcome on an application? I have applied to 5 jobs since beginning of March, all of which are “in review” or some variation but I haven’t heard anything more.

Shall I accept that I am most likely to be ghosted?
Or is it more likely I’ll get a decision one way or another?

First time applying to roles post Grad scheme so any advice would be great!

I worked with a Junior AD that skipped college and went straight to portfolio school. I was mad resentful of him at first, mostly because I wish I would have thought of that and saved $100K.

Asking for wife who's also in banking. If she got ~$100k in signing bonus in 2019 for 1 year commitment in CA and started FT in July 2020, assuming she leaves before July 2021, can her employer claw back full amount in California? Some say it's much tougher to do so under CA law but wonder if anyone has any insights. Banks won't likely care about analyst signing bonuses, but associate bonus at EB with diversity bonus can be significant. If she quits before, she won't be going to another bank.

Our firm told everyone no bonuses this year due to the pandemic. However, people like myself with high utilization received a “bonus” in terms of a gift card. My director notified me of this, but the other day my boss was mentioning how no bonuses this year really sucks.
