Crypto is ~1% of my portfolio. Problem with DCA here is that there are some high transaction fees for buying into crypto. Not sure if I would take that approach.
DCA is a good strategy but depends on the exchange from which you are purchasing. I some exchanges can have a high base fee even for small transactions. Just need to research to find the exchanges that don't.
I put in $200/mo split between BTC and ETH, very small percentage of my overall portfolio
I exactly do the same A1
I hold crypto, but have not bought anything new in a few years. When btc was 65k, crypto was 33% of my portfolio. I might start buying more soon, but crypto is already a big chunk of my portfolio, so I have been hesitant to buy more.
Using BlockFi if that matters. They have no purchase fee (but they do mark up the price of the asset a bit). And one free withdrawal to USD per month.
I’ve only ever bought on retests of old support levels. Upside is I have a good avg cost basis, downside is that i probably don’t hold as much as I would be if I just DCA.
