I tell my husband (of nearly 2 decades) that I married a stranger.
Life changes you both, and doing life together is what allows you to know them.
Unless you were together for a good 10 plus years before getting married, you both change a lot over time. Not as a bad thing, but life, family, jobs, there will be a lot of changes along the way. I knew my husband fairly well before getting married, and like to think I get to know them better every year.
If I knew then, what I knew now, I’d have waited and found a smarter, cleaner, more attractive, more interesting, and all around better woman with a better career path. But I was young and surely smart.
Looking back 21 yrs ago……I would say barely lol But look at us now…happier than ever! 😊
My Husband and I were together for 9 years before we got married hahaha. So honestly I felt like I knew everything there ever was to know by the time we got married. And I would say I knew him about the same back then as I do now. I don't think we would have been married as long as we have if I hadn't known everything before we got married.
