Can anyone shed some light on quant funds please? https://groww.in/mutual-funds/escorts-tax-plan-direct-growth
I am seeing stellar returns and extremely low expense ratios but apparently since they're quantitatively managed algorithms, they don't account for things like corona for example.

Best consulting firms without the massive ego?
McKinsey & Company Has any industry experienced candidates pivot to MBB Engagement Manager before? My roommate works at FAANG as Senior Analyst (Ops, 6+ YOE) and was approached by McKinsey & Company recruiter for an EM role. He hasn’t done consulting before. Would this be too much of a risk? His goal is to pivot to PE S&O eventually.

Live outside Knoxville, TN... own home on an acre lot, 2400 as ft, $1350 mortgage. Best idea to move away from the larger cities. However, early days with the firm outside DC, paid $1450 for 1 room of a 2 bedroom townhouse.
Before move:
-San Francisco 2016 - $3960 750 sqft 1BR/1BA on 40th floor with water, gas, and one parking spot included. Located in soma/fidi. This was actually a deal.
After move:
Austin 2016- $1950 1600 sq ft 3BR/2BA. No utilities included, but parking is free and utilities end up being about $200 per month. Located in southwest/oak hill area. Brand new units.
I pay a $3000 per month mortgage for a 4 bedroom house with 2 acres in a top 5 school district in the Boston suburb.
$700 Boston, huge apartment, one roommate and free street parking. Sacrificed fire safety, in-building laundry and a level floor for the cheapest rent I could find. Why pay an arm and a leg for an apartment I never live in?

SC2- how much is the condo and how much down payment did you put? Also whats your interest rate?
@Accenture4 My rate is 4.125% - could’ve done better but I still had a student loan balance. Put down $32K on a total price of $161.5K. The only major change I’ve made in 2 years is replacing the HVAC, which was older but still functional. All other appliances were new & there were nice updates [e.g., crown moulding] because it had been recently renovated by the seller.
DD2 I’m literally in the building right across the street from you
