How much PTO have you gotten away with under an unlimited policy? Is five weeks too much?

What’s an appropriate internal and external out of office for parental leave when I am definitely NOT checking my email? I’m a 6th year associate for context.

Received a verbal job offer on Tues. $5k short of what I had said was my desired range but still up from my current salary. We set up a call for Thurs to discuss further. On Wed they sent me all benefits info. Thursday on the call I asked if we could either increase moving stipend or get closer to my desired salary. They said no, and I asked them to send over written offer and I would let them know by Fri. They then email they are no longer offering me the position and repost it the next day:

Running in my 8th year in construction here in the SE. In my second job right now as a PM and Risk Management (5th year). I have a Masters Degree in Construction and additional certification programs from Cornell University, I think I am good with the pay I am getting (FOR NOW!) BUT

Currently get paid 10 PTO+6 holidays in addition to winter shutdowns from December 24th to Jan1st. Hence the PTO is limited to 10 for new hires upto completion of 5 years.

Is this a fair PTO for someone in year 8?

Have you ever changed your mind a week after turning down the job offer? It’s so hard when you’ve got small children getting sick all the time and you want to start fresh with no PTO.

But I just called their HR Dept to ask if the job is still available. They just signed a contract with a temp agency. However, they’re looking into reversing it and will let me know.
Where would I go from here??? I’d essentially be giving my boss less than a week’s notice. And I look flippant. :(

What is the Medical Insurance amount provided by the DTICI? And for this, premium will be deducted in the monthly pay? Or it'll be taken care of by the employer itself? Any info regarding health insurance is not provided in the offer letter. So, I'm willing to know about this.

i am getting employed by a big firm in entertainment in a couple weeks. the only problem is that I am on my OPT Stem and the company is not e-verified, so they are hiring me through a 3rd party company. this 3rd party company doesn’t have any PTO and much benefits. i will literally not get paid for holidays either. the salary is pretty good -they matched my other offers with a sign-on bonus- so i’m still thinking of saying okay to all this until i get my new EAD for greencard. am i silly?

1. 170k base Consultant for a boutique but the KPI were weird. Unlimited PTO subjected to working with client deliveries on leave, Be billable 80% and also upsell to ensure we get more projects, They were charging for all benefits like insurance
2. 162k base joining bonus 8k, fully remote, 23 days PTO, as Engineering IC expected to be available on weekends for on call
