It has been 2+ weeks since I completed the Interview & Psychometric Assessment rounds with Macquarie Group , but yet to hear anything from them. I also followed up with HR but with no response. For the record, the interview went well. Any idea if they usually take this amount of time to get back? If I got rejected, why not communicate directly?
My final round with Deloitte for UK Tech Consulting Manager position soon. Strangely it’s not a PMD round as it usually is for other Big4/tech consulting firms.
1. Can anyone tell me if they’ve been through the whole process without speaking to PMD? (First round Sr Manager, second Case Interview by a manager and third again by a manager) 2. What is a typical salary to expect? I was asked in screening but kept it vague (e.g can discuss later bla bla). I was hoping 75-80 (ridiculous?)
I am currently interviewing at TikTok for the Content Partnerships Lead role. Can anyone share some insight into the salary bands in the Sub-Saharan African market? Should I benchmark with the global rates?
Any tips and experiences interviewing in this region are also welcome - and highly appreciated! :)

Depends on your qualifications and desire to get the job. I once spent a good 60-80 hrs preparing an entire strategic plan to get a job that was much more senior than the experience I had on paper. I knew I could do the job but given I didn’t have the creds/proof I knew I needed to come to the interview with something that would showcase my approach and impress the interviewer. I got the job!
The most senior decision-maker at the company was traveling so I had 3 weeks between interview dates. I was working full-time while interviewing so I did the strategic plan during my evenings and weekends.
If you know about your job and industry, I focus on researching the company/what I can bring to that unique role... otherwise, go in confident with a loose framework, and you’re golden... maybe two hours over a handful of days?
Study keywords of the job posting. Rewrite them. Rewrite them again. Then, craft your story.

I spent a few days preparing for my new job. Also, having a few test interviews helps to build up your confidence
Depends how much you want the job...!!
I spent a lot of time preparing for my Google interviews. I really wanted the job and wanted no regrets. It worked out.
Same thing for internal new role a year ago. Got the job.
Love it. Just screenshotted this. The Goog is actually my dream company, so appreciate the advice!
