How should one handle a strategy test for an interview and providing past client strategy example? The interviewer wants to assess thinking skills but looks like the test is for an existing client of theirs and I’m cautious of providing a recent strategy deck from my current place of work for an existing client.

Im current at EY in a consulting group that does not focus on deals, but have completed few due diligence type engagements. We focus mostly on ODD (Operational Due Diligence) for private equity firms. I really want to make it into IB. I have an interview for a Valuation and Opinions Role. Would that help in transitioning in as an IB Analyst? I would have a substantial pay cut (100K to 85K - excluding bonus). My current experience has not been seen as valuable by recruiters.

How should one apply for onsite jobs (preferably UK) ? Wherever I apply , I get rejected because I mark the field as YES for "I will need Visa sponsorship".

For those who interviewed for FAANG, Snapchat, TikTok or other tech companies, do they typically offer signing bonuses, like consulting firms? Or if asked for one, do they usually give?

Applying to roles within the same federal agency. I know you need one year within the probationary period, but can I apply to a higher GS level? For example, if I'm GS 9, receive a promotion to GS 11 at the end of probation, would i be able to apply to GS 13 roles if I'm qualified? I recently had an initial interview for a technical recruiter position. The guy on the phone stated that this is not a 9-5 job and long hours are expected. I proceed to ask how much PTO is offered and he said that is not recommend within the first 6 months of working and the harder you work the more PTO you receive. How do you handle remote teams being in different time zones? Right now we have a ton of team leaders on the west coast with the core team on the east coast and because of that urgent requests keep coming down after hours with the expectation to address it immediately. So at this point we’re working from 8am until like 11pm and nobody knows what to do to push back on it
