McKinsey & Company Has any industry experienced candidates pivot to MBB Engagement Manager before? My roommate works at FAANG as Senior Analyst (Ops, 6+ YOE) and was approached by McKinsey & Company recruiter for an EM role. He hasn’t done consulting before. Would this be too much of a risk? His goal is to pivot to PE S&O eventually.

I took it at the end of March. Honestly, I thought it was very challenging. I ended up passing but I got over 130 questions (minimum is 100). One of the biggest changes is the lack of reviewing past questions. Once you answer a question, you won't see it again.
I took it last weekend. it was tough but doable. Just as a reminder as of the 15th the exam added a few additional topics such as IoT and a few others, changing the % breakdowns a bit. For studying I used Simple CISSP audio book with Cybrary videos and then 11th hour study guide. All in all spent a total of 40 hours prep time.
Cccure.education is a good web site for
Practice. I passed exam last week and found this website very useful
I thought it was actually one of the easier tests I’ve taken. Compared to the PE exam, it was cake 🍰
Professional Engineer exam?
A1, sorry, yes, the Professional Engineer exam
Don't pay for boot camp. Those things are outrageous ... Unless it's paid for by KPMG ...

Following.. I took the 6 hour one.. went in at 10 am and came out at 4.. I guess u kids have it easier 😒
"Easier."
B1- that is actually a benefit. A lot of people go back and change it to an incorrect answer. It’s now interactive so they try and ensure you are proficient in all domains. I took the old format so can’t help on the reply.
Following, doing ~40 hours prep work followed by a week long boot camp and hoping for the best. Probably will total to ~100 hours of studying. Guess we’ll find out if that’s enough
Thanks for the insights, folks
Any good apps/sites for practice questions? I’m willing to pay for something easy to use. Not interested in having to grade my own practice tests.
ISC2 app is okay, not great but gets you a good amount of questions and then CISSP by magic bytes. Both are easy to use while on the go. I believe ISC2 has their own online question database you can subscribe to, but have not used it.
Can anyone give this old timer a brief update on the new yest format? I have a mentee who is using the Sybex book. Will that not cut it anymore? Appreciate the advice
Shorter, adaptive testing I think they cut it from 6ish hours to 3 and about half the questions
Once you’ve proven knowledge in a specific domain no more questions are asked from that domain
3 hours??? How do they test endurance?
They make you do a push-up contest after
