Microsoft is hiring an account executive and I’m really interested in the role. I have B2B sales experience in a different industry, but my skills include lead generation, prospecting, account management, negotiating, etc (all within the C Suite and other decision makers).
Would appreciate knowing if this is something I have a shot at with no tech sales experience and what I could expect for promotional opportunities and compensation.
Thanks for the help!

Hi everyone,
I have a total 9+ work ex in Devops and Release Management. Did an executive mba with a goal of breaking into Program management but got recruited into Management Consulting . In this company for the past 3 months.
I feel that my overall skills are better off in a TPM/Program Management role.
My overall experience makes me eligible for most PM roles.
My question is how do I prep for a TPM role since I don’t have development or Scrum Master exposure. Amazon India VMware BrowserStack Inc.
Guys, a query from me - got an offer from a reputed renewable industry company so wanted to know if I'll be going downhill or uphill in my career. Note: Position is in Europe, naturally way better money than India, and its an ex client wanting me to join them. He is keen to get me in.

Any tripwire pros here? How did you get started?
Hello Deloitte 🐠 20 YOE. Have referral for a content and marketing M role in cybersecurity -- the focus of my career pivot. Submitted my application today, but my referrer isn't in Cyber. Interested to widen my Deloitte Cyber network to get my resume in front of a human, since ATS has no vision or imagination. If you're willing to connect, please DM. So far, made it several interview rounds into roles with EY and Accenture. Optimistic, but want to be as proactive as possible. Thanks!

I have purposely not taken the CISSP - I am afraid it will make me dumber based on the people I have worked with who do have it.
I know it's not tech heavy, but people seem to study for months and years for it. Is it being able to memorize stuff that plays a bigger role in passing it?

As with most security jobs I’d imagine you’d be much better off applying with a CISSP
Cissp will get you pass to requirements that all. Interview and job acceptance will be based on your experience and how well it is expressed.
Just the CISSP and your consulting work ex won't get you anywhere close to getting a job at FAANG.
I disagree with EY1. Plenty of people from B4 with consulting and CISSP at FAANG myself included.
Yes I understand and agree with what all of you are saying. But lets say we have 2 candidates with the exact same experience - one with CISSP and the other without. How much advantage does the CISSP have over the other candidate? In terms of getting an interview call and beyond

A tremendous advantage. You can debate whether or not the exam is useful, but it’s the number one thing recruiters look for in a cyber security professional.
Get OSCP and go to a FAANG office. Just start working...paper can come after
