I am a first year Manager and applied to a PL role. Should I email BCG to suggest that I would be open to consultant level or will they automatically consider me?

We flew back from Ireland today on Delta. Our connecting flight from JFK at 6:10 was cancelled while we were flying over the Atlantic Ocean, and we were rebooked on a 3:40 instead (2.5 hours earlier) but not notified. I received no email, text or app notification of the flight cancellation or the new flight we were placed on, so we missed it. They now cannot get us home tonight and won’t even guarantee they can get us home tomorrow, impacting my work, (cont)…

My international flight got cancel. They did not send email so everyone found out at the airport. I even spent 50$ in Uber coming to the airport and they say only solution is to rebook us tomorrow. What’s the best way to go about it to get best compensation for all the inconvenience? (Tap air)

Have full-time post-MBA offers from Bain big MCOL City and McKinsey small-ish M/HCOL city. McKinsey city is close to home and where I want to live long term, but I have really vibed with the Bain people.

How do I structure my decision making process?

Been working on mostly (about 70%) public sector policy and strategy at Big 4 for most of my career. Often go up against MBB on RFPs and have a decent win rate. Would I be too senior to come in as a lateral hire? I guess it’s all about client networks at this level, and being government, it’s locationally dependent - so which markets have need?
