Jump. I heard BDO is WHAAAAACK
30% raise. Promotion. And big four? I’d just leave. It’s going to improve your career trajectory being in the big four. They can’t even really match it imo.
Just be prepared to stay with the new firm for a bare minimum of 2 yrs, preferably 3. Otherwise you risk being perceived as a flight risk to a new employer before you're even hired.
Leave! BDO always offers lower compared to other CPA firms.
Leave. We’re a sinking ship.
Low pay
Leave, Big4 is offering you more money and seniority. Not only that, there's a clear advantage with Big4 over BDO from a resume perspective. I came from BDO several yrs back, so speaking from experience.
Yeah leave. I left for EY. While honestly it's sometimes a little stupid that B4 has a premium from a reputation perspective (as I've seen some managers from B4 who were idiots compared to some managers at BDO - and vice versa), it exists. So if you're in public to learn what you can for just a few years before jumping, B4 will make a bigger jump easier
No, no don’t be afraid. Just leave. Your resume will shine with big 4 experience.
Would this be your third firm in three years?
Yes. That’s my concern
It’s a concern not worth having too much. No one will care. Switch to big4. It’s a big difference.
If you were going the other way, I’m sure the masses here may even have advised against it.
I mean, before this year, two friends of mine went from BDO to Big4 and were brought in one level lower. So what they offered you sounded good to me.
