Nah, CTS work culture was amazing but its not any more. I would choose IBM over CTS if money is not the only factor here.
I am not familiar with IBM bands so I won’t be right person to answer this question.
What band are partners at IBM? D? Was not aware of Director level / Band D at IBM. AVP is above Sr Director at Cognizant. I feel they are heading in the right direction with recent leadership changes in the past 2 years. I was close to joining them
They start at Band D and move up to C, B etc
Not sure about IBM bands, but AVPs in Cognizant are quite senior. On the commercial side, they manage a book of business of about $50m, if not more. Most Country Heads are VPs and Regional Heads are SVPs. EVPs (only about 12 of them) are in the EC.
Based on what people have suggested, looks like you'll be moving laterally at Band D to AVP.
VP in CTS is considered very good position you will have 5-10 Director working for you and you will be in charge of 3-5 practices. No idea about avp also no idea about IBM director position. Ex CTS here
Band C IBMers go there as SVPs
The decision should be based on bonus+future growth in role. What kind of bonus do you make right now at IBM for Band D relative to your base salary ? What opportunities do you have to grow to Band C in your current role ?
