I am in a dilemma on a job offer which is a contractor position for a fairly new but fast growing & successful tech company. Fully remote. The role is building out the accounting function so there’s a lot of room for growth & the pay is 40% higher (yes I considered outside expenses such as taxes, medical, etc) & can become FTE. I am still at my current role in tech as well that’s fully remote which the pay & team are good with guaranteed growth but I’ve felt unhappy for a while. Thoughts?

Has anyone left healthcare and is now really happy? I’m an MSN, RN with 12 years hospital experience. I’m burned out and tired of making crap pay. I have an opportunity outside of healthcare that would pay more and challenge me in new ways that I haven’t experienced before. It’s a total shift that would really heal my work-life balance, job satisfaction and budget. My only fear is that I would not be using the license and degree that I worked so hard for.
