I agree - Allstate was a nightmare to work for!!! I was there for 5 years. MAJOR micromanagement!!!!! Anywhere you find will be so much better ! Good luck!!

Hi! I work for AAA (CSAA) they are hiring. I like their culture. I’ve been working with them in auto claims for almost 3 months. Let me know and I can send you the link.

likehelpful

Would you mind sending me the link? I’m an adjuster as well in property but I’m willing to get auto certifications it needed.

I actually just intervirwed with Allstate on Friday. I am in MS so, hopefully, if offered the job, my experience will be different. I'm hesitant now. I will be leaving my current position and switching careers to be a claims adjuster. So do you think Allstate isn't a good fit for a newbie?

like

They micromanage and give you zero freedom to do your job

like

OMG! I have the same terrible experience working at Allstate. I was so stressed and I am glad I left.

like

I just stared at the comments because i just had my interview with them and it seems like I am getting the job. Now, it makes me a little scared. Should I continue this? Lol.

like

Get your foot in the door for experience and use it to move elsewhere asap

Run Allstate just wants people to fill seats they don’t care about you as a person! They just dump on you and tell you it’s your fault instead of actually trying to help they’re adjusters be successful. Of course they are looking to hire you because so many of us left we couldn’t take it anymore. Now they have to fill those spots and you have angry insureds upset with you because they also don’t like to pay anything for them. Not to re match or one coat of paint like you can still see drywall. Allstate you are not in good hands.

Try Travelers. Great benefits and good starting pay. They promote individual growth and has an inclusive work culture as well.

like

Man that is sad to hear. I worked at Allstate and absolutely LOVED it. I wouldn't have left had I not moved. I would suggest also posting this in the job referral bowl. You might be able to get some bites in there .

like

Progressive is hiring with a great starting salary range. If you have at least 3 years of experience in claims, there is a possibility to start as a Sr Claims Adjuster.

like

I worked at Allstate for many years. They’ve had a mass exodus for many reasons. They are extremely poorly run in the claims arena. I think you’re better off just about anywhere else.

like

I just applied for a position with travelers are you on east coast

like

Have you thought about State Farm? Our benefits package cannot be beat by other large insurance companies.

I can tell you, we have recently hired several entry level auto adjuster positions in your market. Most have left within the first year. While they undergo training, you live in a very tough market and the shops up there are brutal to even seasoned adjusters. Unfortunately there is no way for you to ease into it. You can try applying for a claims processor position to gain more experience first. These are often available as remote/ virtual and are entry level.

Hello,
I've recieved an offer from Morgan Stanley, my previous salary was around 6 Lpa and last offered was around 15 Lpa (WFH), I quoted 40 to 45% on top of that around 22 Lpa considering Mumbai location, WFO and Glassdoor pay range.
Did I just do a mistake by quoting too high a number? Please let me know your opinions.

Right so here’s a bit of a dilemma I work to a much higher standard at home and it’s this high standard that means I’m in line for a promotion. I’ve grown so much and I feel really strong in my role I’m also busier than ever. The problem is we’re going back into the office and I don’t want to go in if it’s just going to be senior management in asking me to get them lunches for client meetings or fetch a glass of water and cutlery for meeting rooms. Definitely not ready to go back to that….

It seems rude when she says it, and she follows it up with “I say that because I love you” which i feel is so unprofessional all around. Anyone have guidance on how to handle this?

I've been WFH the past 2 yrs and overtime more than half my team has now been pulled out to work for a diff department which resulted in me taking 90% of our daily tasks to handle. I'm at a point where the salary I'm getting is disrespectfully low for all the work I do. Should I ask for a raise? And if so, how do I go about asking without sounding greedy.
