Hi fishes, what are the chances of Pwc AC bangalore rescinding an offer given the current market condition? The role in my offer letter seems to be pretty generic and during interviews, it didn't look like, they were interviewing for a particular project or team. I have doubts specifically because of HR's behaviour during the whole recruitment process where they never responded to my emails or calls. Is this normal practice?
Anyone got recruited for Pune location recently? My interview process has been completed and asked for documents on 23rd Dec, but till now I haven’t got any update after that. To those who think you won't have trouble finding work when you're a CD, here's a newsflash: contacts move to different markets or leave the business all together, therefore nestling in tight with an ECD or GCD to lean on for employment is nearly impossible. And unfortunately, most people in this business are out for themselves and aren't as generous with helping as they could be. For example, instead of posting a rude comment here, you could have emailed your in- house recruiter and asked if your agency is looking for CDs, and then posted THAT instead. ✌🏼
1. Take some legit time for yourself. Breath. Find a way to meditate in whatever way you can. Rest.
2. Update your personal brand. Resume. Portfolio. Contacts. Put yourself out there. If it hasn’t worked until now, consider the idea that you’re not positioning yourself for success. It may be time to consult with someone you trust that will give you an honest assessment of your strengths and weaknesses.
3. Rinse repeat. You need to find peace within so you can gain the confidence to go out there and slay it.

Don’t wait for a reply. Keep reaching out, talking to role you know in the biz, don’t give up. Half of getting hired is luck. You have to be at the right time at the right place. So put yourself out there. When you least expect it it will all come together
It's taking awhile for me as well. I'm pretty senior as well, and even my network is saying things are slow as hell.
I feel ya, dawg. Taking way fucking longer than expected. And I’m coming from an A-list company. It obviously takes longer the more senior we are, at least the interview process. But I think another factor is there’s just less jobs out there at our level - with probably an over-abundance of us applying for those roles. What’s really disheartening is the online application process - feels like a complete waste of time. I’ve had the best luck with my contacts at different companies personally referring me. It really is ‘who you know’, at least to get to the door. Hang in there homie. Stay busy, keep looking and work those contacts — chances are you’ve built up a nice-sized network over the years. Don’t give up just yet!
It’s been a tough slog for me. Depression not lifting and hard to keep a smile around my kids. I just hope I can get in the game soon
This is going to sound harsh but how are you a CD and struggling to even land an interview? I’d think you’d have a decent network built up by now where you can get a lead from a previous connection...
Current job market is very saturated with lots of people looking for jobs especially at the CD level. Sending you good vibes to land a great role.
It's harder / takes longer the more senior you get as there are fewer open positions. Hard to give additional suggestions without knowing what you're currently doing about it. So many factors at play from your side alone - are you applying to appropriate/relevant positions, is your book good, are you reaching out to contacts, are you trying different channels, etc etc. Also, not sure what "giving up" means? What's the alternative? If you're financially able to take a break, I recommend that too.
