I am really getting frustrated. I am licensed in P&C. I have applied for almost everything I can find in insurance. I am getting turned down at every door that opens. Most of the employers are looking for 3+ years experience and I am just under that. There are so many job I seen stating they will even pay employees to get their license - I am even getting turned down for those roles, I HAVE my license.
Where can I apply now? I’ve applied with all the companies like Liberty, Progressive

Hi there. Zurich are looking for experienced P&C underwriters based out of south east.

A lot of brokers are looking Insurance Office of America, an Alliant are have several openings. Hub International and USI often are as well. Have you tried reaching out to recruiters on LinkedIn? Maybe try assistant roles too if you only have a couple years in. Assistant Account Managers make decent money at the bigger brokers and they will promote you as soon as they think you can handle it. Good Luck.

From personal experience I would recommend staying away from USI.

Almost every insurance company is looking for insurance producers and claims go out and look at progressive liberty mutual and the Hartford. Some of those are remote only jobs. Their entry level they’re not asking you for three years of experience.
OP what state are you located in?

When you’re applying just be sure that the job is remote for your state. I’m out on these websites weekly and I see dozens, isn’t that horrible over a job oh my God reloaded oh my God especially Liberty and progressive and both are pretty much remote.

Me too. State Farm agents are looking as well. I pray you find something

Consider staffing firms

The link I shared would be for a P&C account manager, small business, fully remote. There are other offices within the company also hiring, but this one is specifically designed as fully remote, I think others might be hybrid.

I don’t see the link.

I have been unemployed from the same industry for over 6 months and didn’t get a nibble when applying for insurance positions. I now have added a different career search and start my new job Monday. Fortunately I have a varied amount of experience because now that unemployment has run out, I couldn’t just focus on insurance for work anymore.

I’d advise you to look into other options. Especially if you have other experience. There are so many people looking for insurance jobs and not many positions available.

Here's the link: https://recruiting.ultipro.com/HEF1000HEFF/jobboard/111ba5de-fb28-4ad7-aed3-48891ed4ef4d/opportunityDetail?opportunityId=79e4d179-1b01-4430-9853-bc316a5ed0ae

try clearlink insurance agency and everise.

That appears to be happening all over. I’m in that category as well

(1/2) I started a new job less than a month ago at a large firm with a significant pay increase. I work remotely- which is a special arrangement. They paid for my travel to their headquarters for in-person training. After interacting with my manager and some of the attorneys, I feel like I made a mistake. Manager is demeaning and rude. A bunch of the attorneys dropped not so subtle hints that people who work from home are causing all kinds of problems. I don’t know what to do.

Hey All,
I finished a third round interview, and HR contacted me that afternoon saying I had positive feedback across the board and they would contact me the next day regarding next steps. It’s been two days and they finally get back to me saying they haven’t been able to sync with the hiring manager but will keep me posted. Honestly I wish they would talk with the hiring manager and then let me know the decision instead of checking in. It’s messing with my emotions.

My husband just received a job offer on an opportunity he is really excited about. It would be great for his career and they are giving the 15% jump in base he asked for, however they won’t share what the target bonus amount would be. It’s an executive director position, so I would assume it’s a decent target bonus, but without that in writing it could honestly be a gift basket at the end of the year. Is it a red flag for them to not share this? His total comp could be less at this new job…

This is my first job in a large corporate company, and I’m trying to gauge how long it normally takes to move from entry level to another internal position in the insurance industry. I have been applying internally for a year now and I am wondering if this is normal or if my company is just slow?
