I am the senior manager of a developing project. I have my idea patented and could use some further assistance in bringing it to fruition. My possible concerns are, do I do a start up company or would it be more wise to go into this on my own? I can use some other perspectives on how I can go about this. Much appreciated.

If you are able to attract a talented and resourceful team, you will be better off creating a start-up (assuming you have faith in your project) and create a profit share structure as opposed to diluting shares for a period of time

Hello my friend, if you believe in what you have and know that it is awesome ideal and you know that it could take you to the next level. You must protect it. Then what you are looking for are people that can see your vision and want to help you get there. like the people who work with Bill Gates and Jeff Bezos. You will have to surround yourself with a team of people that want your best.

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was looking at both SHRM-CP and SPHR. Everyone that I have spoken to has the SHRM, but that’s also only looking at individuals in a small geographic footprint and within 3-4 different companies. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks

I just got a job offer for an Entry Level Software Engineer at Boeing in Saint Louis. The salary is $82,000 with an $8,000 sign on bonus. I was hoping for an offer closer to 90k base and I don’t care too much for a sign on bonus. However, this is a lot more than what I’m making now, and would be my first SWE job. Should I counter? If so, how would I go about doing that? Thanks!
