Think of why you started? Just to try? No. Because now its your habit. Did you liked the taste? No. You like over the time. You thought its cool? Maybe yes. Now do you feel the same? No. You know its stupidity. So lets quit if you realised that its not cool anymore. How? If you will to quit but need to control your urge. How? You can control the frequency of smoking and move towards quiting.
Tip: it takes 21 days to make anything a habit. You can use this tip for both way. Sadly people only follow for one way.
I had quit smoking long back and haven't touched cigarette since.
You have to completely stop, like aisa nahi chalta ki dheere dheere bandh karunga.
You have to just stop. Not even 1. Addiction nahi jayega agar 1 bhi system me rahegi toh.
Other than that, do those things that you normally do for smoking, Ike going out for smoke or going when you go for smoke after food, do all those things, but when you reach there don't smoke and do something else like have a tea and comeback.
Sometimes we don't want smoke but the time that is actually spent in smoking.
That make sense... When I am in Hometown I don't even feel like smoke.. Even for weeks...
Did you try Nicotex chewing gum ? It really helps. And what helps the most is your will power. Start going to gym or doing some exercise on a daily basis. That helps too.
In my case hitting the gym daily helped to quit smoking
Please don't stop suddenly... It will really hit your body hard....
