I am trying to research a company that provides a virtual workshop for employees/companies and discusses remote work and tips and tricks on how to work in a virtual work environment. I thought it would be a great team building exercise!

Why not do some research and come up with your own list of tips, tricks and best practices, then host a virtual all-hands for your team to participate? It would be way cheaper and probably much more engaging/collaborative.

Haven't seen anything like this, oddly enough. I'm sure there have been some webinars but nothing groundbreaking. Would be useful for sure.

I would love to find something like that as well. Let me know if you find anything that is valuable. It would be a great team building exercise for sure.

Every company is different since each company has a different culture, mission, and objectives. The workshops are too general, and people within the company should create their own guidelines. One of the things that should always be in consideration is to have common sense.

Following this thread so I can find some for my team as well. This looks like a genius idea. I'll try to research for some by myself just for good measure.

This is actually a great idea. The workshops we offer are too general. So I think this topic/idea would be great especially for our remote workers.

Nightmare scenario and need your help. I moved into a new place in august knowing I was going to be WFH. Quiet, lots of light.

They just started construction right next to my building with all day noise, including a bull dozer and heavy machinery coming within 6 feet of my window. We’re also on the second floor so I mean RIGHT NEXT TO MY WINDOW.

I also have a bunch of men starting at me all day on too of the noise triggering my migraines. What can I do?

Any thoughts on the best certifications to get in order to help move forward? I have considered the CCP from World at Work, but it’s fairly pricey to get by the time you wrap up everything. I was hoping to get some thoughts on this from others? Thanks

I strongly believe new hire onboarding should not sit in the HR/People Operations space but should sit in the HR Coordinator/HR Generalist space. As a new hire, they should be able to have a confirmed point of contact especially during their first 90 days and People Ops should not be that point of contact unless there’s system or access issues.
