I am with a B4 and on the partner pipeline (probably in 2 years). Have an offer from a successful tech start-up for the slightly higher base and variable comp (last year average for this role was 2.5x base) and options. I really like consulting and wasn't looking to move. Not knowing anything else, what are your thoughts? What questions should I ask?

What’s the salary range for a Senior Brand Manager at a large public company? I’m being asked to fill out desired salary on an application. 😳 I’ve done well as a freelance strategy director at agencies and I’m expecting a pay cut, but think it could be worth it.

Thoughts on potential exit to Mid-Cap Cybersecurity company for a product data analyst job vs. privacy program manager at Facebook. Both jobs have very similar salaries but Facebook has sightly better benefits. Would like to end up at Microsoft or Google long term but am worried about Facebook being a resume killer given recent news. For reference, have worked at Deloitte for 2.5yrs in the Cloud Sec space (more strategy than tech)

I need to vent. I officially feel DEFEATED in my job search. I’ve been searching for over two years! I’ve had a handful of interviews with companies that don’t come close to my currently salary. I made it all the way through Meta and Amazon interview loops and I didn’t make the cut. Those hurt bad as both those companies require all day interview sessions. A total of 10 interviews at each company. I feel I may never get out of consulting 😢

If the final offer comp is near the lower end of the range provided by the recruiter initially, is it a fair game to ask for/ negotiate against the top end?

Every morning before I start my work day, my boss demands that I send a detailed agenda of what I’ll be doing and when I’ll be doing it.
