I was in the final stages of an interview with Microsoft two weeks ago, in partner marketing. Then the recruiter told me they were putting the hiring process on hold to assess the need for the role. Well, then we heard about Microsoft layoffs last week. Seems like most were in Xbox and Project Alpha but there’s not a lot of information out there. Should I hold out any hope that I’m going to get this job? Any insights on how much these layoffs have impacted the marketing org and/or new hiring?

I resigned from TCS in August and in another 18 days it's my LWD with TCS, now i got call from my lead saying they will provide canada onsite opportunity and he said he has multiple projects at onsite which he can give me, some are saying it's just a gimmick to retain you nothing else, my DM asked me to say yes or no by tomorrow so that he can start the process he said once i get approval mail then only i can take back my resignation. I would not worry about it. There is a possibility the position got terminated or they made an internal hire. Not all recruiters are good at following-up and if they want you to move to second round they will contact u.
It’s because of this Ai auto apply I think. Recruiters are getting 500-600+ resumes within a day or two of posting the position

Update on the IT Infrastructure Manager role I posted about last week. Recruiter responded to my Monday follow-up within 8 minutes saying she still needs to connect with the hiring manager for feedback and anticipated knowing more by end of this week. It’s now Thursday night and still no communication. Second missed deadline. Still haven’t been rejected but the silence is hard to read. Staying cautiously optimistic but moving on mentally. Anyone seen this pattern before — is this a slow internal approval situation or am I reading the writing on the wall?“
