Need help to calculate the in hand salary

I have some doubt regarding pf contribution... Say for example.. 12% of my base salary is 600 which gets deducted from my salary.. on the flip side.. the company has to contribute 600 to my pf (which is actually deducted from my salary only like already part of CTC)?. So my question again is that.. the company contributes 600 as well? PwC

The new company I’m at now sent me an email from an email address that was HR@companyName.careers saying I was accepted for the position. They gave me paperwork to fill out and sign to accept the position
I fill out the paperwork and send it back to them and it goes through… then a few days later I go back to the email to say something else and I get this…?
Then today I got a check from the company In the mail to setup my home office, and it’s signed by someone I’ve never met before or heard of…?
What…..

OP: i feel behind in life since I make 65K. how much did you make?
Person: I made 50K
OP: oh great, so I'm at least in front of you. Self-esteem repaired.
Bruh, you feel behind? With this post, all you're doing is looking for someone else to stand in front of. Find some worth within yourself. Only compete with your future self and your needs. Make money to fund the lifestyle you want, not to compare to others
This post is gold!!!
I was making around 20 at that age. Unbelievable
Like $10/hr... LOL
Change your mindset, OP.
Same. $10.90 p/h.
At 23 I just had a one year old child and was going back to college making 10 per hr trying to afford a bus fare and a meal. Still feel behind?

Surprisingly just a little less than that, after adjusting for inflation
$37k salary + about 20% more in bonus/OT in 2007

About the same. But it was 27 years ago.

Bear in mind this was 11 years ago but I earned about 22k GBP in London (I guess it would have been 30k USD but cost of living is so different). My husband was still working part time and doing his masters, making probably 5k. We lived with his parents. We are both now very close to 200k USD each in agency and tech.
55k. Hang in there, learn as much as you can, and try to get your employer to pay for certs/training. Prepare for your next role - careers are long

Honest question- what's your salary expectations at 23 considering you barely have any real world working experience?

75k. These first jobs are stepping stones. Give it time. There are people that start in more lucrative entry jobs that get passed up quickly by those in lower paying entry roles

2013 for me and I made 35k working as a graphic designer for a non profit. You’re way ahead now and you will get there. Lol. Don’t compare yourself w this bowl. I didn’t make that salary until I was like 27 lol.
2400/month base pay with $1400 bah and 150 bas as a new O-1 in 2005.
That’s about what I made as at 23 as an E-5
At 23, I was still finishing up my bachelor's degree. I was interning 10 hours a week at $15/hr and then working another 20 hours at a retail store for $10/hr. So, well under $20k. 8 years later, I'm now at $132k base, $13k bonus with a potential 2x multiplier (so up to $26k) depending on company performance. There are people my age making much more than me, and others making much less than me.
All this to say, you're doing just fine and you're definitely not behind by any measure. With that said, don't worry yourself with how you compare to anyone else. There will always be people making more and others making less, but none of them should matter to you. Compare yourself to others and you will never be happy.
0 I was still in law school, but then only 40k out of law school in 2010, even without loans. It gets better.

I was 23 in 1993. Brand new grad with computer science degree, first job was $18,600 per year. Left after one year for a jump to $22k.
Rent was $600/month. Ouch.
At 23? Nada. Probably around 32k 🫠
$65K lol
I asked for a raise and got fired 🤷♀️
26k a year
