I feel so tired, burnt out, under appreciated and underpaid lately. I have no motivation these days and life seems like a pain to get through each day. Anyone else feel like this or have felt like this? I don’t know how to get out of this feeling. Meds aren’t even working tbh.

This might not but be a popular opinion, but I don’t think meds have the power to get us out of sadness and depression if the causes that create that depression are persistent and unattended. I think sadness and low moods are the natural response to things that make us genuinely unhappy. You are not the only one my friend.

This is a ruthless business and we deal every single day with rejection, self-loathing, impossible expectations, monotony and a plethora of problems that can get us pretty depressed. These are the things that help me: 1) understand that struggle is part of life and won’t go away. These days, I am not looking for happiness as much as I’m looking for purpose 2) go for a walk. Your body produces serotonin when you move. Take big breaths. See the beauty around you 3) if the situation you’re in is making you miserable, plan your next move. Baby steps. Little by little. No rush but not pauses either. Good luck 🍀. You are not alone!

Feeling the exact same way. My therapist tells me to quit but I’m terrified of seeing the same bs at another agency and i don’t want in house.

My mom won't wear her Fitbit to bed. She has a pacemaker and has had a fib. We got it for Christmas so we could find out while she's in an episode and not a month later. She read or saw somewhere that it interferes with pacers. I looked it up and it's not a legit concern, but wanted more opinions before I advise.

Exhaustion and Negativity are not the only symptoms of Burnout. Lacking motivation is also a major symptom.

I have recovered from Corona Virus. Its 6 weeks now and I can tell you that the after effects are real. I have anxiety that I will never get over the fatigue, brain fog, inability to form sentences and words and headaches which make my work days very difficult to get thru.

I have a looming sense of self hatred. I take medication I workout and do all the things to feel good, but it’s just stuck there. I am scheduled to fly from NYC to Mumbai via Paris next Wednesday (Jan 5) for a ~10 day trip. Have any of you, your family, friends, etc. flown a similar route (I.e. from US to India via Europe) in the past week? If so, what is the arrival process (Covid test, quarantine requirements, etc.)? I didn't apply for a job that would have set me up for the future in the government. I wouldn't have to worry about money or future jobs. My boss had just given me a small pay rise and talked up the future and so I felt good. I now severely regret not applying for the job and cannot stop thinking about it to the point of insomnia and depression. I even contacted the employer but too late. It's a small town and rarely anything comes up. I hate myself and feel like I failed my family. :(

I started a new job recently and then had my PTSD seriously triggered, plus a panic attack.
