I found out I was promoted to Principal Accountant this week. It has not been officially announced. I am working towards developing management skills as I am expecting to make manager within my company. My job is stressful but getting promoted twice in two years, there are no words. I really feel like I am transitioning from trying to survive in corporate America to now thriving in corporate America.

Hi guys, i have a current CTC of fixed 30L and I got a variable ~8L (32%). I heard that Bofa doesn't give bonus so what is the ideal one can quote the HR and should look reasonable?
PS - I heard that Bofa gives an average hike of 10% whereas in consulting I have always received hike > 20 or above.

Is it just me or have you also noticed that during the endless back to back zoom/teams meetings, people drift away and not take down action points?

I made a couple errors at a new job. An important document to be distributed had wrong information on it, which was proofread by 2 other people. Then a couple of typos in emails, the person micromanaging me told me to send out but I didn’t fix the errors. Failed to meet a deadline but completed 95%. I was written up over all this last week, fired this week. There’s a lot more to this but I think it’s because the DM doesn’t like me.

I feel like the stereotype about being an introvert and an accountant don't apply to black ppl. Everyone I met that's an accountant is LOUD, okay lol
