If you’re a manager you need cpa or bar license.
Mentor
Okay so you just backtracked your statement then lol
Is your offer for a manager position or senior? I was hired as a senior and did not have that requirement.
That is interesting, we have managers/sm/directors/principals with just EAs.
Agreed, several of my managers are EAs not CPAs.
There are partners with just EAs?
Can you be a principal with just an EA?
They won’t dismiss you if they need you. But I would work to get it within the year anyway
At EY to be a senior manager you have to have a CPA. They technically require it for manager, but sometimes make exceptions. If you are a JD they waive these of course. I had a friend that came as SM and after one year they put her on unpaid leave until she passed. I don’t know if they still put you on unpaid leave but this was west coast and they didn’t want to lose her so they instead gave her time to study. She did pass but it took her 3 months.
