I got placed on a PIP at work and I'm working hard to improve. What kind of accommodations have you asked for or had implemented in your workplaces or personal lives? When I ask HR, they tell me to come to them with ideas and my psychiatrist says he needs me to give him the list of things I need since he isn't familiar with every job.

The main issues cited were not asking questions/wasting time trying to figure things out for too long, taking longer to complete tasks than others

1) get an executive function coach, a psychiatrist is for medication management
2) what about setting reasonable check-in timeframes with your boss/coaches to make sure you understand assignments and are on the right track? Like when your boss asks you to do something, you ask when they’d like your final deliverable, and work with them to define the check-ins needed to get to that deliverable.

I would search here (https://www.adhdcoaches.org) and also ask on a local facebook page. Replies might be more geared to kids but many coaches cover a broader age range.

Some potential accommodations may be noise cancelling headphones to keep out distractions or software that might help you stay focused.

It sounds like you might be struggling with engagement. Do you like the job? Is your manager giving you clear tasks to do and do you know how to do the work you’re assigned? These aren’t necessarily ADHD issues.

One year ago this weekend my mother was dying of Covid 2000 miles away from me. On Mother's Day we were told to make a decision to either consent to an invasive surgery that may do nothing or put her on hospice. She died on her own while my siblings and I tried to decide. I need to crawl into a cave this weekend until this holiday passes.

I have a crush on my local barista, and I think she may also have a crush on me. Showers me with me free stuff, will ignore other customers in line to talk to me, clearly gets excited when I come in (everyday), calls me by name (literally doesn’t refer to any other regulars by name), etc. I literally forget how to speak when she talks to me. I feel like a child lol

Does it come off as entitled as I think it does?

I have been in an awkward reporting structure for 2.5 years. On record I’ve reported to the VP of Marketing, who was crazy toxic, and technologically inept. I’m a senior website manage and she had no interest in my role. She shirked me off to also report to her two directors, PR and Call Center. Needless to say, that’s been a difficult situation for me. She’s gone and the new VP starts tomorrow. Any guidance on how to ensure this ends with the incumbent VP?

Have not taken great care of my oral health until now. Nothing too crazy, but haven’t flossed everyday, not brushed twice a day, eaten a lot of processed foods, etc. I have a few root canals already but it was never painful. What do I wear to an interview?

I am about to start applying for jobs in HR (getting back into my previous industry). I feel out of the loop with business style for women after working in a casual work environment for 5 years and Trainer for 2 years.

Any inspiration you can offer is greatly appreciated!
