I graduated with a degree in Audio Technology in 2023 and have been job searching ever since. I can not get a call back from anyone besides a couple AV installation companies which require a lot of travel and very long hours. I am not interested in a job that requires me to be out of town 5 days a week, I am a musician and wanna build my own recording business one day so work life balance is very important to me. I'm thinking about trying to get into sales but honestly I'm really nervous.

Looking for some advice on a couple of offers I have.

The first offer is for an Account Executive position at a smaller company with a base of $50k and another $20k in OTE.

The second offer is for a BDR position at a larger and faster growing company with a base of $60k and another $20k in OTE. Also some stock options but they aren’t public yet.

I have 2 YOE as a BDR and think I could succeed in either position. Both have hybrid work set ups. Any thoughts or advice is appreciated! Thanks.

I’m curious what non sales positions people from sales transfer into. Currently a sales rep at a cybersecurity firm but am interested in exploring industries that have a bit less stress involved.

If I have to book 20 meetings a month, how many conversations do I need to be having a day ( email, LinkedIn, cold calls, dark social ) with a drop out rate at 20%.

I’ve been in sales for nearly 3 years doing alright and all of a sudden I have developed an anxiety towards sales that has made my job unbearable in the last few months.
I haven’t made any major mistakes that triggered this, I just gradually developed so much self doubt.
