Moving to atl- what are typical 1x1 rent prices?
Hi all,
I’m looking to relocate to Seattle. Does anyone know if any of the Big 4 are still recruiting campus hires to start in Summer/Fall 2023? I’m open to either Audit or Tax, but I have internship experience in Tax.
I applied and received an offer at a Big 4 in San Francisco (campus hire), but I’ve decided Seattle is the better fit for me as it will be closer to my hometown and family in Vancouver.
Thanks!

Yes. Experiences are everything in life.
Nooooooo....taxes are soooooo bad. I moved away four years ago. Miss a few things but not the traffic, taxes...or most of the people, frankly
You can live in the Bay and still do well financially, you just have to live according to your means. I left the Bay for my SO but would go back in a heartbeat, it’s a great place even if it can be expensive.
Yes
It sounds like @Partner1 had a totally different experience than you did. I would personally move back to a place I was happy, if being happy is a higher priority than saving money and stretching your salary
Sure why not!! I went to a university of California school and a majority of my friends ended up in the Bay Area and make it work out. They have significantly tighter finances than me (my city is much lower in terms of cost of living), but if it makes you happy why not??
I've lived in a high cost city and would not do it again. If you do, be prepared to work until you are late sixties.
What don't you like about your current city? Can you research other cities to come up with a better alternative?
^currently I live in NYC and I don’t have that’s many friends and it’s hard to find a relationship. Others will include DC, Boston, Chicago or Seattle (not likely due to location)
I left for 4 years for work and hated it. I think it depends on what you miss the most about it and if you can find something similar without the high cost somewhere else. You can also live further away, assuming you travel
My and sfo are comparable. Not much difference there.
