I’m sorry to hear that but I totally get it. I had a late start getting into Agency life and I’m finding that, with the wrong agency, it can be draining. Many go client side. Driving company marketing initiatives for a brand they can be passionate about. I’ve heard it’s generally more stable and the benefits can be better. Plus if you have agency experience, you make a great client partner to get the most out of your companies AOR because you know what drives an agency and how they think. You end up becoming a translator of sorts. Unless you’re wanting to leave the marketing/advertising industry all together? In which case maybe business management, where your driving teams? I’ve heard tech sector business management has a lot of similarities. Hope this helps and good luck.
Woah Glassdoor thanks for never notifying me of any interactions. Thanks for your words! Going client side is definitely one of my goals if I don’t find a different solution, but from what I’ve seen you need to know the right people. At the moment they have me doing very low level work and I don’t get to participate on “big” conversations. Very discouraging and I often feel diminished by a senior peer and no one can’t do anything about it!
I'm feeling the same way right now :( thank you for posting
It’s very frustrating! Do you feel that way working for FCB? I was interviewing with them all the way until the hiring freeze and followed up this last week to know that it’s still frozen🤣
