To help, can you describe a typical day for you?
Couldn't fit it in the initial post lol
So my days are very random. I don't interact too much with the attorneys or my boss (director) and am primarily independent. I work for a VCA related company, so it's all animal hospitals. My responsibilities include mainly business licensing, responding to violations, misc legal matters at the hospitals, real estate title research, acquisition work, building out legal software (in the process of switching to SalesForce), corp governance, lots of research regarding vet med laws, and anything in between. I don't handle employment or litigation since we have paralegals there already. I'm the catch-all paralegal.
To be honest, I feel under utilized, which is why I was interested in the other position.

What about legal ops?
I've actually been researching legal ops and reading job descriptions for the open jobs on LinkedIn. The descriptions do align more with what I would be interested in doing. I LOVE working with tech and all about efficient workflows. The aspects that I don't enjoy are the mundane, repetitive work (ie corp filing, business license renewals, etc.) I used to do M&A at my old firm and am used to the fast-paced, high-stress work, which I really thrive in (strangely enough).
