AFS - if I do my self input on my FY22 goals and submit to manager for a review this week since my project ended, what do I do in May when I have a different project? Will the same fy22 form get submitted with me adding more self input to it or do I make a different copy of that original form and reconcile somehow?Accenture

They put a little device up your ass and bang a bell on your head. The device measures the resonance between you ears which indicates tinnitus. At least that’s what the VA dr told me
What kind of work did you do. What kind of sounds do you hear. They will probably put you through an Audiology test. And they will find the exact band that the ring is at
You can’t test for tinnitus. If you say you have it. You have it. Just describe your symptoms
They made me take a hearing test
Yes normally a full evaluation to see what frequency you drop or block
If you also claimed hearing loss they will put you in a hearing booth. If you only claimed Tinnitus you just tell them your symptoms. Constant ringing in your ears 24/7 for example
If it is your first time going to the VA office, look unwell as much as you can. When you arrive and someone asks “how you are?”, the worst answer you could possibly give is “I am good.”
This is the DBQ (disability benefits questionnaire) the examiner will use to determine hearing issues. Tinnitus is one of many conditions they check for.

Read it, understand it, speak to it. You should be familiar with the DBQ for each specific condition you claim as a best practice to increase likelihood of service connection and adequate rating.

It's a pretty normal side effect from service and usually pulls a 10% disability.it can up your rating if yours is severe enough that it causes loss of sleep or anxiety...something you might reflect on before you go in and talk to them Untreated tinnitus or tinnitus accompanied by hearing loss can lead to additional medical problems such as fatigue from lack of sleep and a worsening of depression or anxiety.
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
What did you say? I hear a light buzzing
Eeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee
That's what mine asked me and I said, "Really?" and then I made the noise. LOL
Key thing is to watch what you say and be honest. The wording for approval is that it is always there. It's constantly ringing and you often have to have background noise to tune out the ringing. Hearing loss test won't prove you have tinnitus. This is also a good segway for secondary conditions that can potentially increase your rating like insomnia and or migraines to name a couple. You don't really need a VSO unless you have a lot of claims. For this one I did it all myself and got service connected within a couple of months after submitting my claim. Hurry though before they apply the changes they're talking about as far as tinnitus goes. Good luck!
Common secondary claims can be:
Migraines
Insomnia
Depression
Anxiety

Just tell them about the time you had to stand next to something loud for an extended period of time because your official duties required it and your set. Enjoy the extra 10%
