Hey! Any Google folks know if it’s possible to negotiate fully remote if a contract role is hybrid? Personally, I don’t want to relocate and go to the office on a contract role given the current economy. Plus, I’m assuming contractors are the first to go in layoffs. I just think it’s a fair trade off if I’d be allowed to work fully remote. I’m also trying to have flexibility to manage my Airbnb business in a different country. Same time zone as the home office if I’d travel weeks at a time.

I just have to ask do you mean $26.75? That's a different number than $2675.00.... Google is great at giving average incomes. Though if you lived in my state you would probably be making roughly the $26.75 that I assume you state your making.
While I don’t know the specifics of the income in your line of work. It’s possible that you are underpaid and your company is not paying you the prevailing market rate for your role. Try interviewing somewhere else to get an idea of how much the role pays now and decide if you wanna ask for a raise or go to a different employer.
That does seem kind of low. This is why talking about salary in the workplace shouldn’t be frowned upon.
I would agree that's low. Our surgical techs are making between $28-$30 (per our public company info). Granted, I'm in a pretty populated area that pays well, but with your experience, there's zero reason for you not to be making at least $28 an hour, but I'd say even more.
